Mrs. Besel began teaching at West De Pere in 2004. She teaches Parents and Children, Family Relationships, Foods I, Foods II and Housing and Interiors. She also co-advises FCCLA with Miss Flock. In spring, Mrs. Besel is the Assistent Boys Track and Field coach. She is very happy to be at West De Pere High School.
Mrs. Besel grew up in Wrightstown. She lived in the country with her dad, Mark, mom, Jeanne, and her brother, Keith. As a kid, she spent most of her time playing with her brother and cousins. She was also involved in volleyball, track, basketball, and softball.
After high school, Mrs. Besel attended U. W. Stevens Point. There she earned a bachelor of science degree in Family and Consumer Education. While at college, Mrs. Besel enjoyed playing intramural volleyball, softball and floor hockey, tutoring students with special needs and coaching track at a local high school.

Mrs. Besel's first teaching job was at Sheboygan North High School. It was there that she met her husband, Michael. They were married in June of 2004. Both were very fortunate to get teaching jobs at West De Pere High School. They enjoyed attending West De Pere activities together.
In her free time, Mrs. Besel likes to go for walks, play volleyball, play games, cook, and spend time with her family and friends. During the summer months, she and her husband spend a lot of time up north where they fish, canoe, waterski, and tube. They also like to travel and ride Mr. Besel's motorcycle.
