Michael Besel is the woodworking and automotive instructor at West De Pere High School. He is a 1999 graduate of UW-Stout where he majored in Technology Education. While at Stout, he was active in the TECA organization and worked as a resident advisor in the dormitories. At West, Mr. Besel is co-advisor of the VICA-Skills USA Club and Ski & Snowboard Club.
Mr. Besel came to West De Pere after teaching for five years at Sheboygan North High School where he also taught woodworking and automotive classes.
In the summer and during his spare time, Mr. Besel enjoys motorcycling, jet-skiing, and spending time at his cabin in St.Germain, WI. During the summer, Mr. Besel also teaches motorcycle safety classes at NWTC.

In August 2006, Mr. and Mrs. Besel visited Mosquito Pass, Colorado, which has an elevation of 13,186 ft.
Summer 2006 Motorcycle Trip
This summer I had the opportunity to take a motorcycle trip to the east coast and into eastern Canada. I was accompanied by Officer Dubois and a few of his friends. We rode over 4,000 miles in eight days covering ten states and three Canadian provinces. Below are a few pictures from our trip.
