NATALIE BUHL

Ms. Buhl graduated from St. Norbert College with a bachelor's degree in English and began her teaching career at West De Pere. Now, Ms. Buhl continues her education in the pursuit of her masters degree.

This child of the 80s grew up in Chilton and loved living in the country where the kids played cops and robbers on bikes, the neighbors stood together to watch rainbows after a storm, and people thought nothing of getting the mail in their pajamas.

In her free time, Ms. Buhl enjoys a variety of things.  Often you can find her reading at local coffee shops. If she’s looking for something more active, she’ll be playing volleyball, biking, or running.

Ms. Buhl is proud to be part of the Phantom family. She says, “I love that students dress in orange and black on Fridays. At my high school, there was very little school pride."  She teaches English 9, Early American Literature, Written Communication, English 10, and Honors American Lit. She also advises the GSA and coaches forensics.

During the Summer Ms. Buhl has, for the past four years, led week-long summer service trips with teens from her parish through the Young Neighbors in Action program. They've traveled to St. Louis, Cincinnati, Omaha, and Winnebago, NE. The group is headed to Detroit in July of 2007 where they'll meet up with over 80 teens from across the country for a week of service.

Her Family

Ms. Buhl has one sister (Sarah), a middle school math teacher, and a brother-in-law (Ken), an English teacher at Eau Claire Middle School. Her mom, Lou Ann, is a retired FACE teacher, and her dad, Herb, is also enjoying retirement although he always finds projects to keep himself busy.
