Mrs. Frechette graduated from Denmark High School and continued her career at UW
Oshkosh. After earning her BS degree in Secondary Education, Mrs. Frechette
attended Viterbo College and earned her MA in Teaching. Mrs. Frechette is
also the SADD Advisor, the Echoes Across the Bay Advisor, and the
Student Outreach Advisor. Additionally, she coordinates the successful
Senior Mentor program. She is the WCTELA District #7 Director and teaches
English/Speech Methods Class at St. Norbert College. Currently, Mrs. Frechette is teaching Creative Writing, English 9,
English 10, Honors American Literature, and Contemporary Literature.
In 2002, the Wisconsin Council of the Teachers of English and Language Arts
honored West De Pere High School teacher Bonnie Frechette with the Chisolm Award
for excellence in teaching practices. This award, named for an outstanding
teacher and WCTELA leader, is given to one Wisconsin teacher a year who has
exemplified excellent teaching practices, leadership and example. Bonnie's
nomination noted her years as English teacher and department chair at West De
Pere and her extra-curricular involvement.
