Mrs. Hedrich is the Agricultural
Education Instructor at West De Pere High. She has been teaching
Agriculture classes at WDP since the fall of 1995. She teaches:
Small Animal Science, Large Animal Science, Wildlife and Forestry,
Horticulture and Landscaping, Conservation and Natural Resources, and
Veterinarian Science.
Mrs. Hedrich is the advisor of West De Pere's FFA Chapter. Mrs. Hedrich manages the school greenhouse which the the Horticulture/Landscaping classes use to grow three basic crops during the school year. In the fall, poinsettias, around Easter, either the Easter Lily or a forced bulb crop like daffodils or tulips, and in the spring, bedding plants.
She graduated from U.W. River
Falls in 1976 with a B.S. in Agricultural Education. Mrs. Hedrich attended UW Madison for her M.S. Adult and Continuing
Education Degree from U.W. Madison in 1979. In 2003, she earned her National Board Certification. She is the second Agriculture Education Instructor in the State of Wisconsin to earn her National Board Certification. Before she taught at WDP, she had taught Middle and High School Agriculture at
Chilton Middle/High School for 19 years.
Mrs. Hedrich has five
children and a husband. Her husband, Larry, who is self-employed, manages LaClare
Farm. LaClare farm is the family's commercial goat dairy farm. Their 375 goats, 200 of which are milked. incorporate the six breeds of goats. Mrs. Hedrich and her husband Larry have 5 children. They are Anna, Greg, Katie, Jessica, and Heather.
In her spare time, Mrs. Hedrich enjoys many activities including gardening, helping her daughter with her soap making business (Nitty Gritty Soap), doing counted cross stitch, reading, and showing goats.
