MRS. JANE JOHNSON
"I find life an exciting business, and
most exciting when it is lived for others." -Helen Keller
Mrs. Johnson works and
lives in the West De Pere School District. She lives with her husband, her four
kids, and a cat. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau
Claire. She has a major in theatre, and a minor in English. She found her first
teaching job in El Paso, Texas. In her spare time, Mrs. Johnson
enjoys singing in her church's choir, acting, playing softball, reading, watching her children in sports and performances, and spending time with her
family. Mrs. Johnson can also be found cheering on her three
favorite teams: the Green Bay Packers, the Cubs, and the West De Pere
Phantoms. Mrs. Johnson supervises the Drama Club, directs the One Act Play, the All School Play, and the summer musical.
In the fall of 2006, West De Pere's One Act Play made School History! They performed cuttings of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The play won the right to perform at the state competition in November. There, they were awarded with every award possible: The Critic's Choice Award, a Best Actor Award, Best Acting for an Ensemble Award, and Best Directing Award. This was one of Mrs. Johnson's most proud moment of her directing career.
