MR. RICHARD VISINTAINER

Mr. Visintainer, has taught science at West DePere for 36 years.  He graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in biology and chemistry.  Some words of wisdom he gives to students are: 'Wherever life takes you, carry a role of duct tape with you!' and 'Never stop chasing your dreams!'

Mr. Vis teachers cell biology, biology, and human anatomy & physiology.  Along with teaching science skills in class, he teaches skills that will be useful in his student's everyday lives.

Mr. Vis is the head of Girls and Boy's Cross Country Coach, and the Head Boy's Track and Field Coach.  He is very dedicated to the athletes he coaches.  In his years at WDP, he has donated 5 gallons and 2 pints of blood and his blood type in B-. Regardless if he is in the classroom, or in athletics, he loves to see kids try new things.

Mr. Vis enjoys the great outdoors.  In his spare time, Vis likes to fly fish, hunt, golf, and ski in the Colorado Rockies with his wife and daughters. He has biked the Door County Century 3 times-105 miles each time.

If Mr. Vis could be any animal, he would be a giraffe so he could see beyond his wildest dreams!
