Creating Excellence In Students Through Music!
The West De Pere Music Parents Association (WDPMPA) is a non-profit organization that strives to inspire and support our students (K-12) by supporting the variety of activities the West De Pere School District offers that are designed to meet their musical and educational needs. There are benefits to be gained from learning music. However, it takes a commitment in order to gain those benefits. Our aim is to work toward making that commitment easier for parents, students and teachers in order to have the student get the most out of the experience.
Our goals include:
- Promoting students' enjoyment of music in the West De Pere School District. The objective is to make the effort of learning fun!
- Supporting, encouraging and maintaining the high morale of students and teachers. We strive to keep parents and their students on the same page as teachers, working toward the same goal.
- Assisting with special activities and programs for the music departments. We give time and funds to support clinics, educational trips, concerts, festivals and more.
- Assisting in the purchase of items to inspire a creative learning environment. We do this in two ways: First we help to buy items not in the school budget by fundraising. And, we provide Individual Student Accounts for parents to earn money required for their student to take advantage of any music opportunity.
