Our Mission:

Spanish Club members enjoy immersing themselves in the Spanish language as well as the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries.

Every year the Spanish Club adopts an acre of Rainforest from the Nature Conservatory.  They have now accumulated 5 acres.

Spanish Club sponsors a girl from Colombia through Children International.  Her name is Sandra Marcela Gomez Benitez and she is 13 years old. Spanish club has been a sponsor for eight years now.

Spanish Club sponsered a Thanksgiving Food Drive for St. Willebrord Church.

Day of the Dead 5K Run/Walk 2007
Pumpkins were used to light the course.
Students helped set up directional signs and pumpkins before the run/walk.

To celebrate the Mexican Holiday, Day of the Dead, El dia de los muertos, Spanish Club sponsered a 5K Run/Walk for the West De Pere community and surrounding areas. Spanish Club students from other schools even came to participate! Everyone had a great time running and walking the course around West De Pere High School lit by pumpkins in the dark.

Spanish Club Members have helped out at Adult Literacy Council, hanging out with children of Hispanic Moms and Dads learning English as second language in classes offered through the program.

On March 6-7, 2008, Spanish Club will be going to Chicago for the Fiesta Latina, a Latin American cultural immersion complete with history, music, art, walking tours, visits to Mexical specialty stores, authentic food, and much more!
