To celebrate the Mexican Holiday, Day of the Dead, El dia de los muertos, Spanish Club sponsered a 5K Run/Walk for the West De Pere community and surrounding areas. Spanish Club students from other schools even came to participate! Everyone had a great time running and walking the course around West De Pere High School lit by pumpkins in the dark.
Spanish Club Members have helped out at Adult Literacy Council, hanging out with children of Hispanic Moms and Dads learning English as second language in classes offered through the program.
On March 6-7, 2008, Spanish Club will be going to Chicago for the Fiesta Latina, a Latin American cultural immersion complete with history, music, art, walking tours, visits to Mexical specialty stores, authentic food, and much more!
