- On Saturday, May 3, the 7 th & 8 th grade boys and girls track teams competed in the 31 st annual St. John’s Invitational held at Little Chute High School. There were 15 boys and girls teams entered. The girls finished in 4 th place, while the boys took home the title for the first time in history. Winning individual titles for the flying Phantoms were Jordan Forrest in the 800 meter, Nic Veras in the 100 hurdles and Jay Tollefson in the discus. Also, the 400, 800, and 1600 relay teams took home the gold! The 400 relay team members were Zach Rothering, Sam Mehlberg, Michael Lemmer, and Eric Pannier. The 800 relay team members were Zach Rothering, Sam Mehlberg, Michael Lemmer, and Nic Veras and the 1600 relay team consisted of Mitch LaPierre, Brandon Carter, David Schmidt and Jay Tollefson.

Let’s collect “A Million in May!” **All money collected from this activity will be donated to Luella Gallegos and family.

- Last night the Student Art Show started at 6pm and the night kicked off with student singing performances. Awards were presented at 6:55pm with winners being: Painting: 3 rd – Hayley Moody, 2 nd – Allie Stoffel, 1 st – Abbey Barnes Clay: 3 rd - Ellie Grocholski, 2 nd – Jamie Forrest, 1 st – Mackenzie Kocken 3-Dimensional: 3 rd – Kelsey Norton, 2 nd – Stephanie Beyer, 1 st – Jacob Green Drawing: 3 rd – Marcus Smalls, 2 nd – Liandra Skenadore, 1 st – Coleman Stevens and Best Overall Artist: Carina Lasee’. Winners should see Miss Lotto for their prizes! Congratulations to all of the students you submitted artwork for the show. Mr. Felchlin, the high school art teacher and judge of the event, had a very tough time determining winners. He is excited to see everyone in art classes at the high school in the next few years! Over 100 students and parents came to enjoy the night. A BIG Thank You to everyone that helped set-up, take-down and everything in between with the event.
