McKinney-Vento Overview

 

The McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act is part of the No Child Left Behind Federal Legislation. It exists to protect students experiencing homelessnes from discrimination and mandates equal access to educational programs and services. Students who are identified as experiencing homelessness must have barriers to their education removed.
