Dr. Jason Lau, Administrator
Hi! I'm Dr. Jason Lau. I am the Principal of Phantom Knight Charter School and Westwood Elementary School in the School District of West De Pere. I've worked for the School District of West De Pere for the past 17 years. For the first nine years I worked as the Director of Student Services. In September of 2007, Phantom Knight opened and I was fortunate to be named the principal. In July of 2011 I began working at Westwood Elementary School as the Principal and have loved every minute of it. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family! I have three daughters and a wonderful wife, named Cathy. My oldest daughter, Megan was recently hired as a band/music teacher for the New Holstein School District, Bayley is a sophomore at St. Norbert College, and Emily is a senior at WDP High School.
I am so happy you have decided to consider becoming a student at Phantom Knight. At Phantom Knight we pride ourselves in being able to allow our students great freedom in exploring their own learning. We are proud to say that all of our students must be accepted to a two-year or four-year college or university to graduate. Our students are creative, hard working, and collaborative. If you are considering a self-paced, rigorous learning environment, then I hope you condsider Phantom Knight. We would be happy to discuss the possibilities with you.
Erica Stindt, Advisor
I am Erica Stindt. I have been living and teaching in De Pere since 2004. My undergrad degree in Special Education is from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and I also hold a Masters in Education and a Reading Teacher certificate/license. In 2020 I moved to Phantom Knight School of Opportunity from Hemlock Creek Elementary, where I had been since it's opening in 2007. I have two school-age children of my own, so I am living the parent side of this life as well as the teacher side! In my free time, I enjoy reading and crafting, and spending time with friends and family. I am looking forward to our work together this year!

Jenny Wassenberg, Advisor
I was born and raised in the Green Bay area. I earned a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Human Development at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. After applying for teaching jobs all throughout Wisconsin, I accepted a position in West De Pere at the High School in the Social Science department. I continued to obtain credits to receive my Masters of Science in Applied Leadership in Teaching and Learning from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. My thesis was on Learning Styles and Multiple Intelligences which led me to become part of the research and development of Phantom Knight School of Opportunity. In 2013, I earned an additional Master's Degree in Educational Leadership.
Since our existence in 2007, Phantom Knight has become an incredible learning environment of advisors, staff, students, parents and community consultants. PKS has changed the lives of students and many others including myself. I love being an advisor at PKS and working with such innovative individuals. Phantom Knight has been and will continue to be a passion in my life.
Growing up as the sixth out of seven children has taught me the importance of family support no matter what the situation. My husband, Matt, son, Connor and dog, Mulligan have been a true gift and wonderful support to my career and my life. I love spending time with my entire family. I also love to play volleyball, be in the outdoors, traveling, and reading.
