As the principal I know I have the best job in the whole world! Every day I get to come to work and work with the best staff, the best families and best of all, the BEST children!
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I started teaching 5th grade in 1987 and eventually served as the K-6 elementary computer teacher/coordinator in the Forest Park School District in Crystal Falls, MI. In 1988, I received my Master's degree in Educational Administration from Northern Michigan University located in Marquette, MI. I have been an elementary principal in the East Jackson Community School District in Jackson, MI, a 4K-4th gr principal in the Marinette School District, and joined the School District of West De Pere in 2007 with the opening of Hemlock Creek Elementary. I am proud to be part of the West De Pere School District!
In 2024, I was one of 12 Wisconsin public school principals to receive the Herb Kohl Principal Leadership Award. I am honored to share that recognition with my staff and colleagues.
